I would like to thank Dan Kautz for all the time he spent making out outdoor sign. As soon as the weather breaks we will put it into use. I would also like to thank Urb’s Hardware for the paint stirrers we used during Story Time. The Story Time children enjoyed the puppets they made from the paint stirrers. It is nice to have such wonderful supporters of the library!

The Murder at the Mardi Gras took place on Thursday, Feb. 18. A good time was had by all. Those of you who attended, if you had a good time then be sure to spread the word on how much fun it was. Watch for more activities and great programs happening at Hawkins. We have some fun things planned for National Library Week so please keep an eye out for the schedule. There is something here for everyone!

I am busy getting summer reading planned and looking for volunteers that would like to help. If interested, please stop in the library or call 342-3025 and ask for Laura. This summer’s theme is "Make a Splash, Read." It should be fun and I am thinking about including adults this year and would love your input.

Once again you are reminded that if you have gotten rid of your landline phone and are only using cell phones be sure to stop in or call the library to update your number with us. If you reserve an item we cannot reach you if we don’t have current information (new phone number).
