I hope everyone had a safe and fun filled Memorial Day weekend. School’s out and the time for summer reading is here, which is so very hard to believe since it feels like we just ended last year’s session. June promises to be another fun filled month of reading fun. We are starting our program off with Oceans of Fun and end it with Pirates at the Library week. There are other fun filled themes for the two weeks in between. If your child can not attend the actual program at the library, they are more than willing to turn in their reading times to qualify for weekly prizes.

I have a couple of teen nights planned later this summer. These will be for teens that are in 9th-12th grade as of Fall 2010. It will be a great time to get to meet new friends and to catch up with older ones during the summer. Watch for more information on these two nights, one will be in July and one in early August.

Keep up-to-date by watching for our new outdoor sign which will advertise activities throughout the summer (it will be attached to the bike rack at the front of the library).
