General Information

   This year's annual spring citywide garage sale is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2008. Those wishing to take part in the sale may sign up at La Porte City Printing & Design, 313 Main Street, during regular business hours (8-4, Monday-Friday). To register online, use the form below.

   The last day to sign up will be Thursday, September 11, at which time a registration fee of $6 is due. Unpaid Garage Sale listings on September 11 will not be published. The registration fee covers the cost of a classified ad up to 30 words. An additional fee of 10 cents per word will be charged for ads over 30 words. The registration fee also pays for the promotional flyers made available in La Porte City at Casey's, Pronto and Gary's Thriftway, in addition to a listing online at this website.

If completing your garage sale registration online, you may choose to pay the fee with a credit card. Please note: There is a $2 service charge included for the processing of the credit card.

You may register for the La Porte City Citywide Garage Sales by completing the form by September 11, 2008. You may also register in person at La Porte City Printing & Design (313 Main Street, La Porte City) during regular business hours, 8-4, Mon.-Fri. Information required for registration includes:

1. Last Name (or names) of the family (or families) hosting the sale.
2. Street address of the sale.
3. Hours the sale will be open on Sat. Sept. 20. If open on Friday, Sept. 19, be sure to include those hours, as well.
4. A brief description of the items for sale. The $6 registration fee allows for 30 words, with each additional word costing 10¢.

   Garage sale descriptions typically include large items (furniture, appliances, electronics). If selling clothing, it is helpful to list sizes.
