In the
May 21, 2008 edition, The Progress Review
salutes the area men and women who have served
their country in a special Memorial Day section.
As part of this tribute honoring active, retired
and deceased service men and women, we invite
our readers who have a loved one who has served
in the armed forces to submit a photo for
publication. Last year, 68 service men and women
were recognized, with the years of their service
ranging from 1919 to the present.
PLEASE NOTE: The photos submitted for last year's Memorial Day
Tribute will automatically be included in this year's tribute,
as well. Families do NOT have to resubmit last year's photo to
be included in the 2008 tribute, but certainly can submit a
different photo if they so choose.
This year, in response to the many requests received, The
Progress Review will make space available for families to
include a brief statement, description or comments with their
loved one's photo. While publication of the photo is free, the
cost to include up to 30 words to accompany the photo is $10.
