Help Needed to Raise Flags

The La Porte City American Legion and VFW are seeking help to raise the “Avenue of Flags” at West View Cemetery before the Festival of Trails weekend. Volunteers  are asked to meet at the cemetery at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. If twenty people help, the job only takes about half an hour. You do not have to be a Legion or VFW member to assist in this project. Help will again be needed at 6 p.m. Sunday June 21^st, to lower flags. Thanks to all who can help!
