The La Porte City FFA Historical and Ag Museum’s Fall Festival held Sunday, September 27th was a great success. The day included events for the whole family and included tasty pork loin and giant hot dogs for lunch. The Chili-Cook Off winners were First Place Judge’s Choice—Mark Scheel and People’s Choice—Diane Raun.
Many thanks to our Sponsors; Joensey’s, Cedar Valley Bank, Pork Producers, Dick Witham Ford, and Thirftway. Their generous contributions helped to defray costs. Thanks to the vendors for your support. Also, thanks to the FFA students and parents, and other volunteers. This event is truly built on community and volunteer support and would not be possible without the dedication of so many. But most of all, thank all of you who attended and made this event a success for another year.
The funds raised from this event will be used to assemble another great exhibit for 2010.
There is still time to view this year’s exhibit of “Reminders of the Past. The Museum is open Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 1-4 pm and Saturdays 9 to noon or for groups by appointment. The Museum is once again sponsoring the Festival of Trees that will culminate on December 5th when
