American Legion Quilt Raffle 2009

This year’s quilt to be raffled off by La Porte City San Diego American Legion Post #207 is called “Birchwood Lane” and has been pieced and hand quilted by Anne Kaiser and her daughter, Mandie Wildeboer, of La Porte City. This queen size quilt has colors in browns, golds, blues, reds, greens and cream shades and is currently on display at LPC bakery, Etc. Raffle tickets can be purchased at The Bakery, You’re Look’n Good, Studio Image, The Rusty Pig and other local businesses.

The drawing for the quilt will be Saturday, December 19, just in time for Christmas gift giving, at the Legion Steak Fry that evening. Proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Memorial Tribute and the restoration of the old La Porte City jail and firehouse on Chestnut Street.
