La Porte City Telephone Company Announces First Annual Mitten Tree Program

La Porte City Telephone Company is kicking off the first annual "Mitten Tree Program" during the upcoming holiday season. The purpose of the "Mitten Tree Program" is to collect new or handmade hats, gloves, mittens and scarves for individuals within our community who are in need. This is an opportunity for individuals, families, groups and businesses to support this local program and help a child/children, adults and/or seniors to stay warm during the winter months. The proceeds will go to families of Black Hawk and Benton counties.  

Collection of new winter gear is underway now through December 31, 2009.Donations can be dropped off or mailed t La Porte City Telephone Company 306 Main Street La Porte City, Iowa 50651  In the spirit of giving, those who make a donation will receive a free month of any calling feature or a free month of SecureIT Live or PlusPlease contact Barb or Heidi at (319) 342-3369 for details.
