The UHS Varsity Wrestling team came home with a third place finish (13 teams) in the NICL Conference Tournament held January 30 at Conrad. Denver/Tripoli, ranked #2 in Class 2A, dominated the meet, amassing 316 points, with fifth ranked East Marshall/GMG scoring 205, followed by Union with 181.

The Knights led by three second place finishers, Dylan McLaughlin at 135 lbs., Zach Purdy (171) and Matt Gross (285). along with third place winners Logan Thomsen (119), Justin Macal (145) and Josh Dunkelberger (152) each placed third. Other top-six placewinners for Union included Cody Krall (140) and Jake Reiter (160) placing fourth, with Austin Dengler (130)  and Matt Schmitz (189) placing fifth and sixth, respectively.
