Annual Cabin Fever Men's Dinner

PLC Outdoorsmen will be holding their Annual Cabin Fever Men’s Dinner on Friday, February 26th at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls.  PLC Outdoorsmen is a Men’s Ministry through Prairie Lakes Church that hosts a variety of outdoor events including archery, camping, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, hunting and shooting.  The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:00pm.  The program will get started at 6:00pm followed by a prime rib dinner served by the Frederika Locker at 6:30pm.  The main portion of the program will start at 7:15pm.  Featured speaker will be nationally known hunting personality Russell Thornberry.  Russell is a renowned outdoor author and master story teller, a gifted songwriter and singer plus a seasoned outdoor television personality.  Russell literally pioneered the trophy whitetail hunting industry in Canada and over an 18 year period his guide service offered American hunters the opportunity to hunt trophy whitetail deer, black bear, moose and elk.  As he gained prominence for producing giant Alberta whitetails for his clients, he was establishing himself as one of North America’s most prominent outdoor writers and authors, contributing to virtually every noteworthy hunting magazine in North America.  Russell’s experience in the whitetail deer hunting world led him to be involved with the development of the Buckmasters Whitetails Magazine, then Rack Magazine and GunHunter Magazine.  He also has hosted and appeared on national outdoor television shows in both Canada and the U.S. such as Buckmasters Magazine TV, The Jackie Bushman Show, and is hosting the new Sportsmen Afield and Wild Encounters TV show on the Outdoor Channel.  Tickets are $20 each or a $100 for a reserved table of six.  All tickets purchased by February 14^th are eligible for an early purchase drawing.  Ticket purchases must be made no later than February 21^st.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.prairielakeschurch.org   For more information contact Mike Messerer at 266-4311.
