THE ARRIVAL OF WINTER – City crews were hard at work clearing the snow from Main Street during the early morning hours of January 21, following the first significant winter storm of the season. As a result, area residents braved the sub-zero wind chills that accompanied seven inches of snow.

    Casey’s General Store will formally celebrate its return to La Porte City with several Grand Opening specials on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28. The store was completely reconstructed following a fire on July 6, 2011.
