Jim and Cathy Thiele of Waterloo will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean cruise this January, as well as with friends and family at an open house honoring the couple on Sunday, November 8th, at the LPC Community Center from 1-4pm. All friends and family of the couple are invited to attend. rnrnJim Thiele and Cathy Herman were married on November 1, 1969 at St. Paul\'s United Methodist Church in LPC. Mr. Thiele is employed at John Deere and Mrs. Thiele is a homemaker. Their family includes their daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Patrick Weber of Ankeny, one grandson Mays Mackenzie, and one spoiled granddog Abbie Jane. They are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second grandchild in May.
