Amanda Marie Vanous and Jason Douglas Smith, both of La Porte City, are planning a July wedding.

Parents of the couple are Don and the late Penny Vanous of Rowley, and Doug Smith and Bob and Becky Smith of La Porte City.

The bride-elect is employed at VGM, Waterloo, and the groom-elect is employed at Community Body Shop, Waterloo.

The 5 PM ceremony will take place July 31, 2010, at Heartland Acres in Independence.
