SEPTEMBER 15, 2008

FOOTBALL
UNION 14, Mt. Vernon 0
In a game that was played in a steady rain, the Union Knights improved their season record to 3-0, grinding out a 14-0 win. With the Knights' defense limiting the Mustangs to just 105 yards of total offense, touchdown runs by Jared Wauters and Garrett Woodson proved to be all the offense Union would need.

CROSS COUNTRY
Waverly Shell Rock Invite
The Union Cross Country teams ran in the Waverly Shell Rock Invite on September 9, competing against some of the state's strongest cross country programs in all four classes. Four Knights were medalists- Josh Frush, Ashley Frush, Erin Sears and Emily Snyder, with the boys placing 14th overall. The Union girls did not score enough points to crack the top 15.
